Airport Transfers

Parkland representatives will meet students arriving at any of the following airports and escort them to Ampleforth College:

Our representatives will wait at the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall. Students will see the Parkland sign and their own name on the sign. Parkland representative will escort students to the same airports when they finish their course. Students will receive assistance with their check-in and will be accompanied to the customs and security gates.

The following charges apply:

STANDARD TRANSFER SERVICE

Standard transfer service to or from the airport, normally by coach or executive car at Parkland's discretion:

One way transfer from/to London Heathrow

Available for:

  • Arrivals scheduled between 08.30 and 16.30
  • Departures scheduled after 14.00
£65 one way

One way transfer from/to London Gatwick

Available for:

  • Arrivals scheduled between 08.30 and 15.30
  • Departures scheduled after 14.30
 £95 one way

One way transfer from/to Leeds-Bradford

Available for:

  • Arrivals scheduled between 08.30 and 21.30
  • Departures scheduled after 09.00
 £35 one way

PREMIUM TRANSFER SERVICE

Parents are strongly urged to arrange flights that fall within the times given above.

However, individual transfers can be provided through our premium service at other times. Charges are:

To/From London Heathrow or London Gatwick: £235 one way

To/From London Stansted at any time: £235 one way

NOTES

  1. Where students' transfer arrangements require an Ampleforth arrival or departure between midnight and 06.30 an administration charge of £50 will be applied.
  2. The London Special supplementary charge does not inlcude the return transfer charge to the London airport.
  3. Where parents have requested airline young passenger assistance for their son or daughter this requires the Parkland representative to stay in the airport until the plane has left. A charge of £40 will be made for this additional service.

Extras

Trinity College Examination and training

This programme consists of an initial diagnosis, two hours' extra tuition and the examination fee.

Parkland London Special

24 hours in London including overnight hotel accommodation, meals and sightseeing. NB: this fee is to be paid in addition to the return transfer fee to London Airport 		£95

Golf Tuition

Special courier delivery of documents on request £50
Priority reservation of premium accommodation (shared en-suite) £75 per course

Payment is not required at the time of completion of the application form. Please wait for an invoice requesting payment of a £200 deposit. You will also receive a supplementary form on which you specify airport transfer requests and any extras required. The supplmentary form does not need to be returned until six weeks before the commencement of the course. You will then receive a final invoice with instructions for payment.

If you are applying after May 15th 2010 you will receive the supplmentary form and be asked to complete it within 3 days so that your full invoice can be prepared.
